Building Community Through Creativity
JunkGirls believes creativity should be accessible to everyone. Founded by artists and creative partners Jenny Kompolt and Melissa James, our nonprofit inspires children and adults to discover the joy of making through hands-on experiences using recycled, vintage, and found materials. By transforming everyday objects into meaningful works of art, we encourage creativity, sustainability, imagination, and the confidence to see the world in new ways.

Our work reaches children, teens, and adults through workshops, community events, and educational programs that make creativity approachable and fun. We partner with local schools to bring hands-on creative experiences into classrooms, where students not only make art but also strengthen their social-

We believe creativity has the power to heal, connect, and transform. Creating with your hands encourages mindfulness, reduces stress, nurtures self-expression, and reminds us that every person has something meaningful to contribute. We strive to create welcoming spaces where people feel inspired, supported, and connected to themselves and to one another.
Every donation helps provide materials, expand our educational outreach, develop new programs, and make creative experiences available to more people throughout our community. Your support helps us inspire the next generation of makers while creating meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to build confidence, connect with others, and experience the joy of creating.
Together, we're building a more creative, connected community, one project at a time.
