Friends of Elm Alley

When schools began reopening following the Covid-19 pandemic, Tenderloin Community School had to utilize Elm Alley, the one block long street behind the school, as an active space for morning drop off and afternoon pick up routines.

Friends of Elm Alley is creating a car-free, child-friendly community open space for the children and families of Tenderloin Community School and the neighborhood at large, that fosters play and improves the health of the community. Elm Alley is a safe, fun and welcoming oasis for Tenderloin children and families to gather, play, learn, and grow.
