Through a queer retelling of familiar childhood stories, Chile! Hood Stories: A Fairy’s Tale is a multidisciplinary theatre production that empowers audiences with stories of resistance framed as “simple fairy tales.”
Chile! Hood Stories retells classic children’s stories with explicitly genderqueer and gender non-conforming characters. Characters and storylines reflect a broad range of sexualities, all while gaily romping through the queer, sex positive universe of Boult’s creation.
Created and produced by SevanKelee Boult (bka Lucky 7), a well known Bay Area poet. She has been seen on HBO Real Sex since 2000.
